65 year-old patient with chest pain and dyspnea following an intercontinental flight

Ein 65-jähriger Patient kam wegen rechtsseitiger Brustschmerzen und Luftnot einige Tage nach einer transatlantischen Flugreise notfallmäßig zur intensivstationären Aufnahme. Die Kreislaufparameter erschienen stabil. Unter dem dringenden Verdacht auf eine Lungenembolie erfolgten u. a. eine CT-Angiografie (CTA) der Lungenstrombahn sowie eine transthorakale Echokardiografie. In den beiden Bildgebungsmodalitäten zeigten sich 3 pathologische Befunde.
