On the morning of August 11, 2022, Judy Kay DeLozier Williams passed away peacefully in Flower Mound, TX. She moved from Stillwater two years ago to be near her daughter Brooke Williams, granddaughter Drew Scarlett Hamby, and Drew's father, Ryan Hamby. A celebration of life will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Stillwater. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Strode Funeral Home and Cremation.

As 2017 comes to a close we can all look back and see the successes we have had during the year. Friends of Stillwater Community Center are amazed at all that has been accomplished with your support. Highlighting some of the points that Historian Extraordinaire Sue Moore prepared for our end-of-the-year report given at the annual meeting last week, the group:• Officially became Friends of Stillwater Community Center, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation and established our mission statement.

When I left Stillwater in 1976, watching my hometown shrink in the rearview, I was sure I was gone for good. Headed west for Colorado in a hand-me-down Plymouth Valiant, adventure beckoned and I yielded to its enchantments. Now, after 33 years living in three states, five countries, and 14 houses, my husband and I made a home, once again, in Stillwater. Family, friends, the wonderful memories of growing up here and the need to be part of a community drew me back.
