1. Introduction A photoacoustic imaging (PAI) system designed for biomedical applications offers the combined benefits of optical and acoustical imaging methods. The approach leverages the sensitivity and contrast of optical absorption and minimal scattering in soft tissue of acoustic propagation [1,2]. By using safe, non-ionizing illumination sources, the photoacoustic effect is effectively utilized in biological tissues.
