Building intelligent agents to handle complex, real-world tasks can be daunting. Additionally, rather than relying solely on large, pre-trained foundation models, organizations often need to fine-tune and customize smaller, more specialized models to outperform them for their specific use cases.

Generative AI, machine learning (ML), and cloud technologies are revolutionizing the way we work. To succeed in the workforce, proficiency in these technologies is becoming increasingly important. At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we understand the challenges of acquiring new skills and have developed innovative, gamified solutions to make learning more engaging and effective.

The AWS DeepRacer League is the world’s first autonomous racing league, open to anyone. Announced at re:Invent 2018, it puts machine learning in the hands of every developer through the fun and excitement of developing and racing self-driving remote control cars. Through the past 7 years, over 560 thousand developers of all skill levels have competed in the league at thousands of Amazon and customer events globally.
