Here's the CommonRail. The rapid transit design proposes connecting some of New England's largest cities by train, at speeds approaching 100 mph. While the design remains theoretical thus far, CommonRail architect Cyrus Dahmubed believes there is potential for this idea, or something similar, to become a realistic rapid transit option. "I'd love to see some of it actually happen," Dahmubed told BostInno in a phone interview. If this seems unrealistic – think again.

The D Line is the most reliable, though. So there's that. Last Thursday, October 23, was a historic day for the MBTA. Riders, for the first time in the T's 117-year history, could begin tracking Green Line trains on dozens of mobile apps. Moreover, the T began publishing this data.

The Boston Marathon Finish Line on Boylston Street received a new coat of paint Tuesday morning. The finish line is repainted every year, Kate Norton, Mayor Marty Walsh's press secretary, told BostInno in a phone call. After last year's marathon bombing tragedy, though, it's safe to say this year's repainting carries a different type of significance – and people on Twitter are excited about it.
