Create Advanced Roll-Up Summaries Using Salesforce Flow & Invocable Actions
In my last article about roll-ups for Salesforce Ben, I talked about how we developed a scalable way to do roll-up summaries within flows with a simple bit of Apex code deployed as an invocable action. Right after I wrote that article, however, I had a new challenge.
The Scalable Way to Create Roll-Up Summaries Using Salesforce Flow
Roll-ups, as we all know, are an extremely powerful tool inside Salesforce. However, Salesforce’s out-of-the-box functionality only supports roll-ups in a master-detail relationship. Master-details, while helpful in certain scenarios, can also bring limitations in most desired relationships between two objects.
I Hate to Break It to You, Leads Don’t Close Themselves
Recently I flew to Raleigh, NC for a very brief business trip. As soon as I got back to Seattle, I checked my conversion charts between Delta (the airline I flew) and Alaska (the airline I normally fly) and saw that I didn’t get the credit for the miles. Now normal people probably wouldn’t check that the miles were showing up in their account. They probably wouldn’t follow up with the airline either. However, I’m not normal people. I care about miles.
I’m Breaking Up With Email, but I’m Still Maintaining Squatter’s Rights
My dad can barely use his iPhone. Yes, he went to Princeton for two of his three degrees, but when it comes to knowing things like what emojis are, let alone how to use them, he’s pretty much hopeless. However, I have to give him props. The "B" in Business Travel Stands For… - NYCAviation
Well I wont go there, yet. For the good part of the last three years I’ve done some pretty decent business travel and I wanted to take a minute and share some stories and dispel some myths about frequent travel for business. Now, I’m a plane geek and proud of it, and so are you if you’re part of this site. But before you put on your propeller hat and say “Oh man I’d love to travel for my job,” settle down.
