Coming into the 2026 season, the Baltimore Orioles were expecting a lot from Kyle Bradish. The front office forewent acquiring the top of the rotation arm that everyone thought they needed because they believed that Bradish could be that guy for them. They had good reason to believe this, as Bradish had been one of the best pitchers in baseball when healthy over the past three seasons.

The Baltimore Orioles have lost several players they were relying on to be regular contributors this season to injury. In the absence of these players, they've done their best to patch together their rotation and their outfield, but it's proven to be quite difficult. The good news is that help is on the way. In the past week, several Orioles who had been on the IL for weeks began minor league rehab assignments with the goal of rejoining the team in the next couple of weeks.

In the second inning of last night's game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Los Angeles Angels, Orioles third baseman Blaze Alexander fouled a ball off his knee. This is something that happens fairly often, and Alexander stayed in the game to finish his at-bat, but after he returned to the dugout, he began to limp in pain and grab at his right leg. It was quickly evident he was not going to be able to return to the game to play third.
