Discussion The present study examined the situation of research practice among university academics in Kurdistan Region of Iraq universities concerning practice, satisfaction, motivation, and challenges. Poor access to publications was an important obstacle to publishing research, with only 8% of the respondents having access through institutional subscriptions.
