I would like to congratulate everyone involved in the successful completion of the resurfacing of the A346 London Road / Barn Street / Herd Street through Marlborough two weekends ago. The work was scheduled for evenings to minimise disruption, it was carried out effectively and to a high standard. There was advance notice and the diversions seemed to work well. Hopefully the work will minimise problems on that stretch of road for many months – hopefully years.

The ‘so called’ Galaxy crop-circle of 2001 – copyright – Lucy Pringle Twenty five years on from the appearance of two striking – and baffling – local crop circles a celebration is being held in Honey Street to mark their appearance, organised by the Crop Circle Visitor Centre & Exhibition. The circles that appeared were the ‘Galaxy’ at Milk Hill, adjacent to Honey Street in Alton Barnes, and the ‘Face & Message’ at Chilbolton. Crop Circles are big business in this area of Wiltshire.

Unveiled this morning it’s part of the Nationwide strategy of keeping their customers alive(!).
