1 Introduction Melanoma, the most lethal form of skin cancer, occurs in approximately 4% of individuals (Owida 2022) and, in addition to the skin, may also involve other mucosal surfaces, the eyes, and the meninges (Ali et al. 2013). Its strong tendency to metastasize, even when the primary tumor is small, leads to an unfavorable prognosis.
