1 Introduction Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) is diagnosed primarily based on clinical evaluation; however, electrodiagnostic (EDX) studies are generally used for substantiating the presence of the disease, for identifying the axonal and demyelinating subtypes, and excluding the mimics of GBS. Therefore, nerve conduction studies (NCS) are performed in all patients with suspected GBS, and some EDX criteria are used for the differentiation of demyelinating and axonal subtypes [1-4].
