Her thoughts couldn’t help but drift to the previous times she’s had to evacuate because of wildfire— two years ago, when a massive wildfire threatened Churchill Falls, and again over a decade ago, when the same thing happened in Wabush. Of those, the majority are spread across the Labrador — most are out of control — while another is in the Crippleback area of central Newfoundland. The largest of those is the one near Oreway, which is 6,630 hectares in size.
