NICK PORATH: Trhas and Randy sat down in the StoryCorps booth to reflect on their work in the community. But they also ended up reflecting on their friendship. RANDY WILLIAMS: When I was five, and my sister was a year, my parents got divorced. And we moved from a little town in Utah, to Las Vegas, Nevada. And at the time, that seemed like probably a really trauma-filled thing, and it definitely was. But the support and the growing up experiences I had there really informed who I am now.

Robert Linton: It's wild to think it's been 15 years. And I remember I was performing a little house concert, and my business partner -- he and his wife had just moved to Logan. And I remember after the show was over, we started talking music. And he said to me, "You know, I've got this place that I've been looking at on Federal Avenue that I'm considering turning into a recording studio, it was an old consignment shop." And I was like, "Wow, that's great.

DARIN NIELSEN: My name is Darin Nielsen. I'm here to interview my mother Jeannene Nielsen and my father Brent Nielsen. Let's start with you, Mom. Tell us where you were born. And when you were born. JEANENNE NIELSEN: I was born in Overton, Nevada. 1944. BRENT NIELSEN: I was born in Logan, Utah, 1942. DARIN NIELSEN: Mom, what would be one of your favorite childhood memories?
