Locus-Coeruleus Norepinephrine Functioning as a Predictor of Childhood Mental Health (LOCUS-MENTAL): Protocol for a Longitudinal Study
Background Figure 1. Theoretical model of LOCUS-MENTAL. Locus coeruleus-norepinephrine (LC-NE) functioning as a neurobiological mechanism in a developmental model of dispositional risks and stress, in which LC-NE functioning predicts psychopathology. LC-NE: locus coeruleus-norepinephrine.

Fluid Intelligence Is (Much) More than Working Memory Capacity: An Experimental Analysis
1.1. Correlational Studies of Reasoning Ability and Working Memory Early evidence for a tight junction between intelligence and working memory—although not interpreted in these terms at the time—came from the work of (), who developed the Wechsler–Bellevue Intelligence Scale (WBIS) as a new test battery for the measurement of intelligence.

Saccade dysmetria indicates attenuated visual exploration in autism spectrum disorder
Abstract Background Visual exploration in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is characterized by attenuated social attention. The underlying oculomotor function during visual exploration is understudied, whereas oculomotor function during restricted viewing suggested saccade dysmetria in ASD by altered pontocerebellar motor modulation.
Pupil dilation during visuospatial orienting differentiates between autism spectrum disorder and attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder
Abstract Background Previous research demonstrated atypical attention in children with attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Regarding visual orienting, findings suggest a differential impairment: Atypical orienting to relatively unexpected targets in ASD, and atypical processing of alerting cues in ADHD. The locus coeruleus‐norepinephrine (LC‐NE) system plays an important role in exploiting alerting cues to increase attention and task performance.
Restricted and repetitive behaviors and their developmental and demographic correlates in 4-8-year-old children: A transdiagnostic approach
Introduction Restricted and repetitive behaviors (RRB) form a broad class of behaviors that are characterized by frequent action repetition and an intense preference for sameness. Restrictedness is apparent in the narrowness of focus, inflexibility in interests, and activities and insistence that aspects of the environment stay the same. Repetition is manifested in rhythmic motor stereotypies, repetitive speech, routines, and rituals (Leekam et al., 2011).
