Robert Barnett, Michael Barnett, Nicola Barnett In 1938, aged 12, Lola Zloczower (later changed to Owers) fled Hamburg with her mother and younger brother, Fred, to join her father. Her parents, Albert and Malca, were GPs in Hamburg. Life for Jews in Germany had already been made difficult, when in autumn 1937 after a tip-off, her father evaded capture by the SS, managing to cross the German border before making his way to England.

Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) is associated with a range of cognitive and non-cognitive symptoms. We aimed to identify if some of these symptoms might aid early diagnosis of Lewy body disease in cases of mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Lewy body MCI (MCI-LB; n = 36), Alzheimer's disease MCI (MCI-AD; n = 21), DLB (n = 36), AD (n = 21) and control (n = 20) participants were recruited.
