When Large Language Models (LLMs) are used for semantic data extraction from unstructured text, producing candidate relational facts from natural language, they may remain unreliable for tasks requiring complex combinatorial reasoning and global consistency. This paper proposes a logic-guided data extraction framework combining LLM-based extraction with Answer Set Programming (ASP).

Roadside serendipity: an accident can lead to a rare diagnosis
A 78-year-old smoker, with no history of asbestos exposure, but with a history of COPD and arterial hypertension, was admitted to our pulmonology unit for investigation of a refractory pleural effusion. The patient's medical journey dated back to a few months earlier when, following investigations prompted by a car accident, a chest radiograph revealed a mild pleural effusion, which was interpreted as related to trauma (figure 1).

Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of the Incidence of Rupture, Repair, and Death of Small and Large Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms under Surveillance
4. Discussion This meta-analysis confirmed a low incidence of rupture amongst patients with small AAAs (30–55 mm, 0.3%) with a slight increase for patients with mid-sized small AAAs (40–55 mm, 0.6%) over a mean follow-up of 2.3 years. One-fifth (21%) of patients with small AAAs reached the threshold for repair during the same time period. Aortic-related mortality in patients with small AAAs was rare (0.6%), in contrast to all-cause mortality (10%).
Intravascular Ultrasound in Detection of Bridging Stent Graft Instability During Fenestrated and Branched Endovascular Aneurysm Repair Procedures: A Multicentre Study on 274 Target Vessels
This paper is only available as a PDF. To read, Please Download here. The use of intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) reduces contrast medium usage and radiation exposure during conventional endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR). The aim of this study was to evaluate safety and efficacy of IVUS in detecting bridging stent graft (bSG) instability during fenestrated and branched EVAR (F/B-EVAR). This was a prospective observational multicentric study.
Incidence, long-term clinical outcomes, and risk factor analysis of type-III endoleak following endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm
Objectives To assess the real-world incidence, outcomes, and risk factors of type-III endoleaks (TIIIEL) after endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR). Design Single-center, retrospective, observational, cohort study. Methods All abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs) receiving EVAR between 1994 and 2020 were prospectively collected and reviewed.

BAlloon Inducted re-Lamination and false lUmen Thrombosis (BAILOUT) in chronic type B aortic dissection: technique and long-term results
Objective To evaluate the safety, feasibility, and effectiveness of the BAlloon Inducted re-Lamination and false lUmen Thrombosis (BAILOUT) as a simple technique to address the retrograde false lumen (FL) perfusion and subsequent aneurysmatic degeneration of the thoracic aorta due to a stent-graft crimped in a small TL in Chronic Type B dissections.
Chimney Stenting Versus Surgical Debranching for Treatment of Aortic Arch Pathologies - A Propensity Matched Analysis
Endovascular repair of aortic arch lesions requires revascularization of epi-aortic vessels in case of coverage. The objective of this study was to compare the outcomes of surgical bypass versus endovascular reconstruction with a chimney graft. A retrospective analysis of a multicentre register between January 2005 and December 2019 was performed. A total of 127 patients were included and divided into 2 groups: TEVAR+surgical debranching (n= 72) and TEVAR+chimney stenting (n=55).

Outcome of Endovascular Repair of Popliteal Artery Aneurysms using the Supera Stent
Abstract Purpose To evaluate the efficacy of endovascular repair of popliteal artery aneurysms (PAAs) with a wire-interwoven nitinol stent. Materials and Methods This is a prospective, descriptive, and analytical study. From January 2016 to December 2018, 28 consecutive patients (29 lower limbs) were treated for a PAA with the deployment of the Supera stent (Abbott Vascular, Illinois). Twenty-three (79.3%) PAAs were asymptomatic; 6 (20.7%) presented with symptoms.
