Introduction The synergistic nature of cardiovascular risk factors (CVRF) is well-established.1 Therefore, there are tools used to calculate the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases (CVD), such as the Systematic Coronary Risk Estimation (SCORE) and the Pooled Cohort Equation (PCE).1,2 These tools only consider conventional risk factors (CRF) which include age, sex, arterial hypertension (HTN), diabetes, dyslipidemia, and smoking status.
