Twitter, as toxic as it is, I love the connection to people

Why did you become a journalist?

I fell into it. I love to write and share stories and I needed to make a career change.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

take every opportunity you can, listen often, ask questions when needed.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

I got an email about a "viral" video that when you looked it up, had like 100 views on Twitter over a week of it being online
