The interaction mechanisms between sarcopenia and gut microbiota based on the gut-muscle axis
Abstract Advances in high-throughput sequencing and metagenomics have improved our understanding of the gut microbiota and its associations with disease development and treatment response. The relationship between the gut microbiota and sarcopenia has attracted increasing attention in recent years.
Computer Science > Information Theory
With the rapid development of the low-altitude economy, low-altitude operations are booming, where complex missions require collaborative efforts among multiple heterogeneous low-altitude aircrafts (LAAs). Specifically, different LAAs assume distinct roles: some for sensing, some for communication, some for computing, and others for mission execution, together forming a sensing-communication-computing-control (SC3) closed loop, akin to a reflex arc.
Hyperdimensional in-memory computing with analogue memristive crossbar arrays
Abstract Deploying large-scale artificial intelligence models for language processing on edge devices is limited by constraints in computational capacity and energy efficiency. To address this challenge, we present a hardware-algorithm co-design framework that leverages analog in-memory computing and hyperdimensional computing for efficient language identification at the edge.
The risk prediction models for sarcopenia in older adults: a systematic review and critical appraisal
Introduction The rise in global life expectancy has led to a growing aging population, highlighting age-related conditions like sarcopenia as pressing public health challenges (1). Sarcopenia, defined as the progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass, strength, and physical performance, is closely associated with adverse health outcomes, including frailty, falls, disability, hospitalizations, and mortality (2, 3).
Case Report: Re-irradiation of out-of-field recurrence of malignant phyllodes tumors of the breast after adjuvant radiotherapy
1 Introduction Phyllodes tumor of the breast (PTB) is a rare type of breast tumor, accounting for 0.3%–1.0% of all breast neoplasms (1). Clinically, it predominantly occurs in women aged 35–55 years, with Asian women exhibiting a notably earlier age of onset compared to women of other ethnicities (2). PTB is classified into three types: benign PTB (accounting for approximately 60%), borderline PTB (accounting for approximately 15%), and malignant PTB (accounting for approximately 25%) (3, 4).
Radiofrequency signal processing with a memristive system-on-a-chip - Nature Electronics
Abstract The development of wireless communication technology and the Internet of Things requires radiofrequency communication systems with higher frequencies and faster communication speeds. However, traditional digital processing platforms—which involve high-speed analogue-to-digital converters, intensive data movement and complex digital computation in software-defined radio systems—suffer from high energy consumption and latency.

Accuracy Investigations of Dynamic Characteristic Predictions of Tip Leakage Flow Using Detached Eddy Simulation
1. Introduction As one of the dominant secondary flows in a compressor, tip leakage flow has an important influence on compressor efficiency [1], stability [2], and aerodynamic noise [3]. Refined design and flow control techniques implemented in the tip region can effectively alleviate the adverse effects associated with tip leakage flow. However, this effectiveness hinges on a comprehensive comprehension of the flow field structure and dynamic characteristics within the tip region.

Built-in Electric Field Induced Interfacial Charge Distributions of Ni2P/NiSe2 Heterojunction for Urea-Assisted Hydrogen Evolution Reaction
Built-in Electric Field Induced Interfacial Charge Distributions of Ni2P/NiSe2 Heterojunction for Urea-Assisted Hydrogen Evolution Reaction Compared to conventional water electrolysis, direct urea fuel cell (DUFC) with high energy efficiency and convenience can be predicted to have a promising practical application in green energy development, but it is severely hindered by the slow kinetics of the intrinsic urea oxidation reaction (UOR).

A C,S Bonded Quasi-Two-Coordinate Chromium(II) Complex Showing Field-induced Slow Magnetic Relaxation Behaviour Qian-Cheng Luo, Ning Ge, Yuan-Qi Zhai, Tengbo Wang, Lin Sun, Qi Sun, Fanni Li, Zhongwen Ouyang, Zhenxing Wang and Yan-Zhen Zheng Abstract A C,S bonded quasi-two-coordinate Cr(II) complex, Cr(SAr*)2 (HSAr* = HSC6H3-2,6(C6H2-2,4,6-Pri3)2), has been successfully synthesized.
Managing Kubernetes at enterprise scale: A closer look at Tanzu Mission Control
As Kubernetes continues to mature—rounding the corner toward its 6th birthday—we’ve started to see a shift in terms of the challenges our customers need to solve. Initially, Kubernetes installation was complex. As multiple solutions for installation and lifecycle management sprang up, companies seeking to adopt Kubernetes had to figure out the right approach.

Rationalization of single-molecule magnet behavior in a three-coordinate Fe(III) complex with high-spin state (S = 5/2)
Here we show in the perfect trigonal-planar geometry the iron(III) complex Fe[N(SiMe3)2]3 1 simultaneously has a high spin state (S = 5/2) and uniaxial magnetic anisotropy (with a zero-field splitting parameter D = −1.15(2) cm-1), as revealed by the dc SQUID magnetic susceptibility measurement, high frequency/field electron paramagnetic resonance (HF-EPR) spectroscopy and ab initio theoretical calculations.
Tips and Tricks for VMworld Newbies from VMworld Veterans (or how to survive VMworld!)
With tens of thousands of people attending the event, VMworld can get hectic if you don’t know how to navigate it. Sessions, workshops, exhibitions, hands-on labs, meet the-expert roundtables, power sessions, theater presentations, hackathons, parties … you can easily get overwhelmed with all the activities happening around you in the fully loaded week of VMworld.
Analogue signal and image processing with large memristor crossbars
We first configured the array to implement the discrete cosine transformation (DCT) as a typical example of a linear transformation. The DCT is a Fourier-related transform widely used in digital signal processing and image/video compression and processing13,46. Mathematically it can be expressed as The equation can also be written as a matrix operation: where x is the input signals vector, is the DCT matrix, and y is the output spectrum vector.
