What was your first job as a journalist?
My first staff job was as a sub-editor at the Edinburgh Evening News. I still have happy memories of that - fun paper, great team.

Jane Craig.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Please don't pitch me on stories - the best contacts are almost always with the reporters at the WSJ and Dow Jones.
What's your favorite social network?
I depend on Twitter; it proves to be one of the most useful sources of heads-up alerts on a variety of things I care about.
Who do you wish followed you?
I wouldn't advise anyone to follow me.
