As Philadelphia officials work to boost the supply of affordable housing in the nation’s second-poorest large city, a local kingmaker for low-income housing tax credit funds has changed the way it allocates gap financing in an effort to bring more units online. The Philadelphia Housing Development Corp. removed its tight deadline for 4% low-income housing tax credit gap financing applications this summer and replaced it with a year-round rolling one.

One of the most well-known companies based in the Philadelphia suburbs is selling a two-building office complex — but it won’t be vacating the space. Investment giant Vanguard sold the 323K SF Robert A. DiStefano Technology Center at 1041 W. Valley Road in Wayne to E. Kahn Development Co. for $17M, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported. Vanguard plans to continue leasing the complex at least through 2028.
