A 20-year-old woman was taken to the hospital on Wednesday, June 24, after she was struck by a California State Parks lifeguard vehicle at Half Moon Bay State Beach, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were alerted to the incident at about 3:45 p.m., after a seasonal State Parks lifeguard struck the woman with the vehicle as she was lying in the sand at Francis Beach, a portion of Half Moon Bay State Beach, according to a California State Parks spokesperson.
