Sub-national estimates of visceral leishmaniasis and optimisation of geographical accessibility to treatment centres in Kenya
Abstract Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) remains a major public health challenge in Kenya, disproportionately affecting populations with limited access to timely diagnosis and treatment. National case totals mask local heterogeneity in risk and access. Here we estimate sub-national VL incidence, identify its determinants and optimise geographical placement of treatment centres.
Effect of Behavioral Change Communication and Livestock Feed Intervention on Dietary Practices in a Kenyan Pastoral Community: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Effect of Phone Text Message Reminders on Compliance with Rabies Post-Exposure Prophylaxis following Dog Bites in Rural Kenya
1. Introduction Rabies, a fatal viral disease transmitted to humans mainly by domestic dogs, is a neglected zoonosis that primarily affects underserved populations that have limited access to healthcare. Every year, rabies is estimated to kill 59,000 people globally, mostly children 15 years and below in Africa and Asia [1,2], despite the development of effective vaccines against rabies in humans, and in dogs [3].
