Oba Adeoye is a Nigerian journalist and media strategist with experience across television, print, and digital platforms. He currently works as a senior correspondent and producer with Arise TV, covering governance, public policy, and development issues, with a focus on how institutions and decisions shape everyday life.
Adeoye holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Mass Communication respectively from the Olabisi Onabanjo University and the University of Lagos, with further professional training from the International Business Management Institute (IBMI), Berlin. He is a senior member of the International Professional Managers Association (UK), a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria, an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, and a Fellow of the Institute of Mass Communication and Information Management of Nigeria.
In recent years, he has focused on the intersection of journalism and artificial intelligence. He has completed multiple trainings and certifications in AI, with a growing emphasis on AI governance, ethical use, and practical newsroom applications. His work in this space includes developing structured AI workflows, experimenting with automation for editorial processes, and exploring how AI can support verification, multilingual publishing, and content distribution without compromising journalistic standards.
As a member of the Arise News TV’s AI Adoption Team, Adeoye is particularly interested in building practical, deployable tools that respond to real newsroom challenges. His goal is to move beyond experimentation to implementation, creating AI-driven solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen editorial integrity, and can be adapted across newsrooms operating in similar contexts.
