EDMONTON — Connor McDavid is expected to be out 1-2 weeks for the Edmonton Oilers with an upper-body injury sustained in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday. During the game, McDavid did not play the last 4:20 of the third period and remained on the bench for overtime at Rogers Place. It appeared that the forward reached to his left side on a rush up the ice, and he skated to the bench on his final shift. In the loss, McDavid had two assists.

Over the past few days, a group of friends and colleagues have worked together to establish British Friends of Israel and gather support for The October Declaration, a cause endorsed by many prominent figures.
