Matthew Ogunwale’s Biography

Matthew Ogunwale is currently an undergraduate student of Education & English Language at Obafemi Awolowo University.

Matthew is an award-winning campus journalist. His reporting interests span digital media accountability, youth engagement, governance transparency, and technology-driven civic solutions, with a consistent thread of amplifying voices often sidelined in mainstream conversations. Recognised among JCIN OAU’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons in Journalism (2024), Ogunwale has become a prominent student journalist whose work reflects socially rooted storytelling and responsibility.

Matthew has contributed to youth-focused news platforms, advocacy-based media spaces, and campus press organisations, where his journalism reflects a blend of factual precision and narrative clarity. His writing style is marked by accessible language, investigative curiosity, and ethical reporting standards that challenge misinformation and promote inclusive dialogue.

Matthew is currently the General Secretary of the Association of Campus Journalists, Obafemi Awolowo University (ACJOAU).
