Following the successful launch of Esohe Foundation in Benin City on October 12, 2024, over 200 pupils from three primary schools in Edo South have benefited from the Foundation’s free distribution of reading, writing and instructional materials. The three beneficiary schools are Oluku Primary School, Idinowina Primary School and Okhun Primary School, all in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State.

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has tasked in-coming government in the state to prioritize security over politic, linking the improved security in the state in the last few years to the massive investment flow, growth in economy and the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), among others.

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated the State’s female football team, Edo Queens, for kickstarting their campaign in the CAF Women’s Champions League on a winning note, defeating CBE FC of Ethiopia 3-0. In a statement, Obaseki celebrated the Nigeria Women’s Football League champions for their doggedness and brilliant play during the 90 minutes of regular play, leading to their victory.
