Introduction Due to a broad variety of applications, pyrazoles belong to one of the most significant heterocyclic compound classes.1 The pyrazole scaffold occurs in natural products2 and in numerous pharmaceuticals.3, 4 As examples, Scheme 1 shows some structures of clinical drugs, clinically tested compounds and herbicides comprising the pyrazole, annulated pyrazole and the 1,3'-bipyrazole core.
