Angola LNG Compressor Leak Delays Loading Program

By Oleg Vukmanovic, Reuters A compressor leak at Angola's new liquefied natural gas (LNGLF) (LNG) export plant has delayed loading programs and reduced output at the $10 billion project, which is due to shut for two months from July, a site manager said. Delays caused by a leaking valve at an air compressor unit has meant that LNG initially due to start being pumped aboard a waiting vessel on Tuesday this week has been pushed back to Monday next week.

Yemen Lifts Force Majeure On LNG Deliveries

Yemen on Friday lifted force majeure on liquefied natural gas (LNGLF) (LNG) deliveries from its Balhaf plant, trading sources with knowledge of the matter said. Reuters reported last week that the 6.7-million-tonne-per-year gas export terminal, operated by France's Total, had declared force majeure due to deteriorating security following the collapse of the government. Force majeure is a clause in contracts that allows buyers or sellers to renege on commitments due to events beyond their control.
