NEW YORK CITY, New York: SpaceX is preparing for what could become the largest initial public offering in history, a deal that may push founder Elon Musk’s net worth beyond the $1 trillion mark. The space and satellite company said it plans to sell 555.6 million shares at $135 each in its upcoming stock market debut, raising up to $75 billion and valuing the company at approximately $1.77 trillion.

Drogheda mum and daughter jailed over €513,495 laundering

An aunt and cousin of emerging rap artist Dean Thornton, who is a senior member of the Boylan Organised Crime Group, have been jailed for 18 months after they admitted laundering over €500,000 on behalf of the crime group . Bernadette Thornton (44) and her daughter Alisha (21), both of Moneymore in Drogheda, Co Louth were under investigation as a result of an investigation into the Drogheda-based Boylan Organised Crime Group.

Germany’s 2025 citizenship surge tops previous record

The investigation by newspaper Welt am Sonntag collected data from 14 of Germany’s 16 states. Official figures on naturalisations for 2025 have have not been released. “Germany is experiencing a historic boom in naturalisations,” said the newspaper. “Never since the introduction of standardised statistics in 2000 have so many people been naturalised as in 2025.” The latest projection of 309,852 naturalisations exceeds the previous record in 2024 of 291,955.
