Femi Olabode is an emerging journalist, political and public affairs analyst, public relations expert, media enthusiast, award-winning journalist, and media personality. He is a passionate advocate for media-driven good governance and sustainable development.
Femi is a recent graduate of Political Science at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife. He served as Editor-in-Chief of OAU KILONSHELE News Agency, leading the organization to win the Best News Agency of the Year at the 2023 ACJ-OAU Award Night. He also held the role of Human Resource Officer for Students’ Media Personalities Nigeria (SMPN) from 2021 to 2022, an initiative convened by ace sports broadcaster and voiceover artiste Anthony Dimnwaka Devoyce of NaijaInfo 99.3FM, Lagos, Nigeria.
Femi has made significant contributions to Nigeria’s leading newspapers through his impactful stories. In 2021, he received the OHIMAI G. AMAIZE Students’ Media Personalities Nigeria (SMPN) Most Innovative Award and was named Best News Reporter at the 2023 ACJ-OAU Award Night.
In his pursuit of excellence in journalism, Femi has participated in several prestigious workshops and fellowships, including the 2024 Factcheck Africa Media Workshop, 'Fisayo Soyombo's FIJ Social Justice Journalism Training in 2024, and the 2025 Fellowship of the African Foundation for Young Media Professionals.
Femi previously served as President of the Association of Campus Journalists (ACJ) at Obafemi Awolowo University, having formerly held the position of Public Relations Officer in 2024. He is a Co-Founder of OYSUN News, an Oyo & Osun inter-state media firm.
