Yunusa told FIJ on Wednesday that after she reported the transaction as fraudulent through the PalmPay app, the fintech company successfully reversed the funds from the recipient’s bank account.

Obinna Okeke, a customer of GTBank for about 20 years, has had his N100,000 stuck with the bank since February 16 after an unsuccessful payment at a point of sale (PoS) terminal in Lagos Island. Okeke purchased imported clothes from a vendor, who owned a PoS machine at Mandilas, Lagos Island, and needed to make a payment. He first paid a part of the money with his Zenith Bank debit card without any issue but when he tried paying the balance with his GTBank card, the payment failed.
