What was your first job as a journalist?
As of right now, I am still a freelance journalist, but hope to have my first job soon.

How is social media changing news?
Social media has drastically changed how people get their news. Thanks to networks like Twitter, news can come in practically 24/7.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means finding the truth and reporting it to the people.
What's your favorite social network?
My favorite social network would have to be Twitter.

I like network and meeting other journalists and reporters, so I'm always honored when they choose to follow me!
Why did you become a journalist?
I specifically got interested in the Entertainment beat for the awards shows. I love the glitz and glamour of it all!
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
My high school newspaper was called the "Jag-wire," a play off of our mascot, which was the Jaguar. I wrote various articles for the paper.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I once wrote a story on when my high school decided on an earlier start time. Many students were unaware of the earlier start time.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write on any topic you find interesting and refine your writing style over time!
What's your favorite drink?
Water! It's good for the body and refreshes the mind.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
When I'm not at my computer, I enjoy reading on my Kindle.

I enjoy reading the Los Angeles Times.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
People will often say, "This isn't news," or "Why is this news?," however, I believe that this beat can lighten the mood from other stories.
