Assessing dependent personality: Psychometric evaluation of the dependent personality questionnaire among Turkish professionals and university students

ABSTRACT This study aimed to adapt the Dependent Personality Questionnaire (DPQ) into Turkish and assess its psychometric properties. To this end, the translation and back-translation of the scale were conducted, followed by a content validity analysis of the Turkish version (DPQ-T). Subsequently, the factor structure of DPQ-T was examined through confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and its construct validity (convergent and discriminant validity) and internal consistency were evaluated.
