@d_klinghoffer I think that from a historical perspective we will want to know there were scientists who held ideas that were considered controversial. However, this also shows how those outside of the mainstream (like ID supporters) need to learn to communicate w Wikipedia, or risk exclusion

@d_klinghoffer For me, the smarter, more liberal (in the historic sense of the Enlightenment and its values, which are a driving force in Wikipedia) think to do would be to keep his article and note his personal opinions, as the German and old English version did

@d_klinghoffer I think it sheds light on Wikipedia and how it tries to fend off attempts to politicize its content, but this case also shows how in doing so it can at times throw the baby out with the bathwater
