The present series of papers studies the coupling between transport phenomena and the dynamic response of droplets in vortical flows. We derive the nonlinear relations between the vortical flow field, droplet relaxation time, drag forces, and transport phenomena and analyze the dynamics using a Lagrangian particle tracking method.
