What was your first job as a journalist?
My first job paid was for a college (not my college) magazine. A few months later I started to work for Reforma.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes
How is social media changing news?
More than we really think. At least here in Mexico many journalists and media are not already used to it.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Like Clark Kent or Citizen Kane? I think Citizen Kane, I loved the movie
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To be a journalist means being a bridge between the story and the audience. It's a power we have to use responsibly.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
I can't recall one specific...
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
A good one. I want to do stories both interesting and also impressive, to enable people to improve their life quality. To be inspiring.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Final Cut, Audacity, Photoshop, Tweetdeck, Pages, Numbers and (if available) Office software
What's your favorite social network?
Tough questions... I think I enjoy more Facebook, but Twitter is more useful for us

Because I love to tell stories

Yessss, I was the director
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
The coverage of the torch relay of Panam Games Guadalajara 2011. I traveled through all my country and it was an amazing experience.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Always be passionate of your work and defend its value, you don't pay your bills with fame.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime, but I think that I work better at night. The lastest, the best :/
