1 INTRODUCTION Hunting with conspecifics is a common behaviour across many different taxa (Bailey et al., 2013; Beauchamp, 2013; Duncan & Crewe, 1994; Gazda et al., 2005; Hansen, Domenici, et al., 2023; Herbert-Read et al., 2016; Hubel et al., 2016), and the diversity of group-hunting strategies within and between species can provide insights into the evolution of cooperation and sociality (Clutton-Brock, 2009; Hansen, Kurvers, et al., 2023; Hansen, Domenici, et al., 2023; Lang & Farine, 2017).
