De-Bottlenecking The UF | DF Steps - Enhancing Recovery And Efficiency In Continuous Downstream Processing
By P. Joshi, M. Barros, S. Tindal, M. Leuthold The concepts of intensified and continuous bioprocessing are central to current discussions in biomanufacturing, offering the potential for more efficient and cost-effective production across upstream and downstream processes. Continuous tangential flow filtration (TFF) and diafiltration are critical technologies for downstream processing. This study introduces an innovative flat sheet membrane device designed for TFF diafiltration.
An Optical Aerosol Sensor for Process Monitoring of Aerosol-Jet Printing
Abstract: Aerosol-Jet Printing (AJP) is a fabrication technology for 3D printed electronic applications ranging from conformal metallization to system-in-package hybrid devices. The desire to achieve improved control of the AJP process has spurred the development of strategies for in-line estimation of key AJP process variables.

How Did Sanctions Impact Myanmar?
With continued international concern over the treatment of Rohingyas in Myanmar, some commentators have suggested the use of sanctions to varying degrees. This would not be the first time that Myanmar faced sanctions. The United States imposed sanctions on Myanmar in 2003 and revoked them only in 2016, and Washington has recently also begun imposing some targeted sanctions following the Rohingya crisis.
The Indira Legacy
Indira Gandhi is no more. The people of India are slowly emerging out of the trauma of her brutal assassination. Their psychological state is that of a people stricken by a massive earthquake, struggling with themselves to face the devastation and to start the processes of repair and reconstruction. What has stricken India, however, is not a natural calamity but a social, man-made, disaster. It has been caused by the evil forces generated from within but buttressed from outside.

Purpose: Whole-body MRI (WB-MRI) has increased accuracy for detecting liver and bone disease in breast cancer; however, its potential impact on patient management is largely unexplored.
A new laboratory apparatus for measuring leakage through geomembrane holes beneath mine tailings
The design and performance of a new laboratory apparatus for measuring leakage through geomembrane holes beneath mine tailings is presented. Finite element seepage analysis shows a negligible effect of the lateral boundary on leakage through the geomembrane hole and that the laboratory apparatus provides an excellent idealization of the deep burial conditions expected in the field.
