Novel report of an osteogenic tumor in a late Jurassic Mamenchisaurid from Thailand

1 INTRODUCTION Mamenchisauridae are the dominant early diverging Eusauropod clade in the Middle and Late Jurassic of East Asia, including Thailand. These dinosaurs have the distinction of being the sauropods with the longest necks (Mannion et al., 2019; Moore et al., 2020, 2023; Ouyang & Ye, 2002; Ren et al., 2020; Russell & Zheng, 1993; Suteethorn et al., 2012; Tang et al., 2001; Upchurch et al., 2004; Wu et al., 2013; Xing et al., 2015; Young, 1958; Zhang et al., 1998).

New Cretaceous neosuchians (Crocodylomorpha) from Thailand bridge the evolutionary history of atoposaurids and paralligatorids

The origin of modern crocodylians is rooted in the Cretaceous, but their evolutionary history is obscure because the relationships of outgroups and transitional forms are poorly resolved. Here, we describe a new form, Varanosuchus sakonnakhonensis gen. nov., sp. nov., from the Early Cretaceous of Thailand that fills an evolutionary gap between Paralligatoridae and Atoposauridae, two derived neosuchian lineages with previously unsettled phylogenetic relationships.
