Hepatic safety of sintilimab versus pembrolizumab in advanced non-small cell lung cancer: a retrospective observational cohort study
Abstract Background: Sintilimab and Pembrolizumab are widely used in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), yet direct comparisons of their safety profiles, particularly hepatotoxicity, are lacking. Given the differences in binding affinities and the complexity of patients in real-world settings, this study aims to provide a head-to-head comparison of their hepatic safety to guide clinical decision-making.
Minimal N-hydroxyphthalimide-urethane bonds enable superior thermomechanical stability for covalent adaptable networks - Nature Communications
Abstract Compared to classic thermosets, the reprocessability of covalent adaptable networks (CANs) endowed by dynamic covalent bonds (DCBs) often comes at the expense of mechanical performance and thermomechanical stability. Herein, we report a “High Activity & Low Content” strategy for CANs to achieve superior thermomechanical stability, which is enabled by dynamic N-hydroxyphthalimide-urethane bonds (NUBs).
DNA-damaging chemotherapy reshapes cardiac-resident macrophage composition and function
Editor’s summary Cancer survivors treated with chemotherapy often have long-term side effects, but how chemotherapy affects the heart is not well understood. In mouse models, He et al. found that DNA-damaging chemotherapies such as carboplatin induce cardiac-resident macrophage cell death via apoptosis and necroptosis, which led to repopulation by recruited monocytes.
Experimental study on the influence of different types of amino acids on the formation process of methane hydrate
Abstract The industrial application of amino acid additives was challenged by the different types of amino acid and their divergent roles in either promoting or inhibiting methane hydrate formation. In this study, the effects of 20 amino acids, including hydrophobic amino acids, hydrophilic amino acids, and aromatic amino acids on methane hydrate formation were systematically tested and analyzed using a visualized low-temperature, high-pressure dual-reactor hydrate simulation device.

Enantiocomplementary C-H Bond Hydroxylation through a Dual-Enzyme Catalyzed One-pot Two-step Process
Enantiocomplementary C–H Bond Hydroxylation through a Dual-Enzyme Catalyzed One-pot Two-step Process The enantioselective benzylic oxidation to synthesize chiral benzyl alcohols from alkylarenes poses a challenge. This study introduces a one-pot, two-step C–H bond hydroxylation process that integrates HRP-catalyzed oxidation and carbonyl reductase-catalyzed reduction for the enantiocomplementary synthesis of benzyl alcohols (up to 77% yield and 99% ee).

Research on Insect Pest Identification in Rice Canopy Based on GA-Mask R-CNN
2. Materials and Methods 2.1. Acquisition of Pest Images The collection of rice pest samples consisted of three parts. The first part collected rice canopy pests through the pest monitoring equipment developed by the team beforehand at Jining Lvjian Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (Jining, China) The second part collected rice pest samples through pest traps at the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (SANAS) pest monitoring site.
Graphic Template Establishment and Productivity Evaluation Model of Post-Fracturing Based on the Fluctuation Pattern of G-Function Curve
4.1. G-Function Graphic Template Validation From Table 2, we can see that the wells with a high initial production (≥18 × 104 m3/d) among the 24 wells are A2, B1, B2, B3, B4 and C1. The full-section G-function curves of these six wells were plotted separately and the G-function plates were used as the standard for fast matching as well as verification. Here, only the G-function curves for the full well section of well A2 are listed because of space limitations.

CCL17 Aggravates Myocardial Injury by Suppressing Recruitment of Regulatory T-cells
Originally published3 Feb 2022https://doi.org/10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.121.055888Circulation. 2022;0 Abstract Background: Recent studies have established that C-C chemokine receptor type 2 (CCR2) marks pro-inflammatory subsets of monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells that contribute to adverse left ventricle (LV) remodeling and heart failure progression.
Effects of Bioactive Strontium-substituted Hydroxyapatite on Osseointegration of Polyethylene Terephthalate Artificial Ligaments
Effects of Bioactive Strontium-substituted Hydroxyapatite on Osseointegration of Polyethylene Terephthalate Artificial Ligaments The insufficient bioactivity of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) artificial ligaments severely weakens the ligament-bone healing in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, while osteogenic modification is a prevailing method to enhance osseointegration of PET artificial ligaments.
Genetic Polymorphism of 24 Autosomal STR in the Population of Rwanda
Abstract Rwanda is one of the smallest countries of Africa, where forensic genetic studies are rarely being conducted and very few DNA databases have been developed. Short tandem repeats (STRs) polymorphisms were investigated in 505 unrelated Rwandese by using the HUMDNA TYPING (Yanhuang) Kit.
Low-RF-loss and large-rejection reconfigurable Brillouin-based RF photonic bandpass filter
Abstract We present a high-performance radio frequency (RF) photonic bandpass filter enabled by combining on-chip Brillouin scattering with a suppressed carrier phase modulation scheme. We achieve a low RF loss of 5 dB and a large stopband rejection of more than 40 dB, which represents a significant improvement of 20 dB to the RF passband gain and 31 dB to the RF rejection ratio over traditional modulation schemes under the same optical power consumption.

GC-MS Profiling of Leukemia Cells: An Optimized Extraction Protocol for Intracellular Metabolome
The sample preparation is an important step in untargeted cell metabolomics workflow. In this study, a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS)-based metabolome preparation protocol was optimized aiming at global, reliable and reproducible intracellular metabolite profiling of leukemia cell.
Accelerated tumor metastasis due to IFNγ receptor-mediated dissociation of perivascular cells from blood vessels
Angiostasis mediated by IFN? is a key mechanism of anti-tumor immunity; however, the effect of IFN? on host VEGFA-expressing cells during tumor progression is still elusive. Here, we developed transgenic mice with IFN? receptor (IFN?R) expression under control of the Vegfa promoter (V-?R). In these mice, the IFN? responsiveness of VEGFA -expressing cells led to a dramatic growth suppression of transplanted lung carcinoma cells.
