Over 100 people rallied in Walsall against the planned relocation of the Walsall Leather Museum. A crowd gathered outside the Sister Dora statue in the town centre on 28 March before marching down to the site. This was the second main protest, with the last taking place 8 February 2025. This resulted in a delay to its relocation, now planned to be to a former drapers store closer to the high street.

Over the past few weeks, tenants from Windsor Mews, Sutton Coldfield, have acted against their housing association, Sanctuary. This follows from numerous complaints made for several years regarding the housing association’s alleged incompetence in caring for their residents. Acorn, a union that represents tenants, recently organised the residents to take action.

Around a hundred people gathered to protest outside Perry Barr’s recycling centre. It comes folowing the ongoing bin strike which has lasted over a year, the longest in the country’s history. Perry Barr was one of three locations for what is known as a “megapicket”, in which organisations, including Unite, Communist Vanguard and many more gathered at refuse sites. It was the third event hosted on 30th January, the second taking place back in July and the first held in May.
