1 Introduction Graphene's success has led to a surge of interest in other two-dimensional (2D) materials like black phosphorus (BP),[1] hexagonal boron nitride (BN),[2] and transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs),[3] all of which exhibit unique optical, magnetic, electronic, and thermal properties compared to their bulk counterparts.[4] Experimental preparation of large amounts of atomically thick and crystalline materials is well advanced at this point.
