What was your first job as a journalist?

My first journalism role was News Editor for The Ebbtide, my community college's student newspaper.

Why did you become a journalist?

A professor recommended that I write for the student newspaper, and I've been writing ever since.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

My most proud writing was Donald Trump and the End of DEI. My OPed excerpt was a product of reading about education and cultivating ideas.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

When I’m not at a computer, I’m most likely reading a book, jotting down thoughts for an article, or reflecting on ideas for my writing. I spend a lot of time absorbing information—whether through books, research, or simply thinking through complex topics.
