ABSTRACT In public discourses on family law reforms in India, the role of the Law Commission of India (“LCI”) is rarely discussed. As a government-appointed advisory body functioning under the Union Ministry for Law and Justice, its primary mandate is to conduct law research and make recommendations to the government on law reform.

ABSTRACT This article examines the gendered implications of Deepfake technology through the lens of international human rights law and platform governance. Drawing on recent statistics and case studies, it demonstrates how women are disproportionately targeted by Deepfake-related abuse, with 96% of Deepfake videos being pornographic in nature.
