INTRODUCTION Landscape composition, often measured by the proportion of semi-natural habitats (SNHs) surrounding agricultural farms, is a crucial driver of ecosystem services provided by local biodiversity (Bartual et al., 2019; Xue et al., 2023). SNHs are non-crop vegetation present in agricultural landscapes that are not intensively managed for agricultural purposes. Common examples include grassland, woodlands, hedgerows, forests and field margins (Duflot et al., 2014; Holland et al., 2016).
