Parvathi Benu’s Biography
A journalist with over four years of experience, Parvathi Benu writes on education, politics, gender and contemporary human rights issues for The New Indian Express. Keen on education-related issues and politics, she was a US Department of State Professional Fellow in 2019, where she worked with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, to understand the mental health initiatives that the department undertook, to improve the quality of education.
She is an alumna of the Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media, where she did her master's in print journalism and graduated with an excellence award in investigative reporting, for covering a story on quacks who claimed to cure HIV/AIDS.
