Black Stars Management Committee vice chairman Stephen Appiah says Ghana could suffer a huge blow if Mohammed Kudus misses the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The 26-year-old midfielder is currently recovering from a hamstring injury which could rule him out of the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Kudus picked up the injury in January and was expected to return in April, but another problem during his recovery has cast doubt over whether he will be fit for the World Cup.

The vice chairman of the Black Stars management committee Stephen Appiah says the players are eager to make a strong impression at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The four-time African champions will make their fifth appearance at the tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico this summer. Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Panama and Croatia.
