Pat Evans’s Biography

Pat Evans is a Front Office Sports reporter based in Las Vegas.

Prior to moving his time at FOS, he moved to Las Vegas and spent two. years as a freelance writer. For five years he worked at the Grand Rapids Business Journal covering a wide array of beats, ranging from real estate and construction to technology.

While at the Business Journal, Evans wrote his first book Grand Rapids Beer: An Intoxicating History of River City Brewing. His second book, Nevada Beer, was released in 2018.

Evans has contributed to a variety of publications including The Athletic, Thrillist, the Conde Nast/Pitchfork beer site October, TheManual.com and Grand Rapids Magazine.

He is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he studied political science and worked at The State News, covering news, sports and two stints as managing editor.
