Patrice Worthy began her career in fashion dressing runway models for AmericasMart in Chicago - working for designers like Michael Kors and shows such as Marshall Field’s Fash Bash. She went on to fit and dress the Ralph Lauren 2003 S/S runway show held at the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York City. Inspired by her behind-the-scenes experiences, Patrice started a weekly fashion column at the Indiana Daily Student. Treqwan Kinnard, 27 Treqwan Kinnard goes by Tre. Born and raised in Richmond he attended Henrico High School, but doesn’t hang out with many friends. “At times I can’t take the stupidty that happens out here,” he says pointing to the streets. Instead, he spends his days at RVA Light. “I come here if I need to print something out or need help with mailing something,” Kinnard says. At 27 years old, Kinnard is navigating early manhood. He currently lives with his mother.

According to data from the Richmond January 2026 Point in Time Count, there are currently 618 unhoused individuals, down from 680 in July of 2025. At RVA Light, a Christian-based community center, what they see contradicts the official statistics. If the invisible homeless were counted, Program Coordinator Josephine Lansing suspects the numbers would be much higher.
